About the Role:

We are looking for a Mobile and Warehouse technician with mechanical experience and a love for gadgets and technology to join our Posture Tech team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the assistive technology used by our clients match their unique requirements and specifications.  This will involve working with experienced Allied Health Professionals to design, manufacture, configure, modify, service and repair equipment to ensure our clients continue to live independent lives.

 

As part of your role, you will:

  • Ensure high quality, fit for purpose products are delivered on time to meet our clients’ needs
  • Be able to problem-solve and drive technological innovation with  creative solutions
  • Use your strong communications skills to build rapport with a wide range of people
  • Work together as part of a team with a strong focus on creating and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Be able to effectively manage your time to meet multiple deadlines
  • Maintain workshop equipment and manage stock/inventory to minimise disruptions and delays

 

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • An interest in working with people with disabilities
  • Current mechanical skills, along with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the use of workshop equipment for the purposes of manufacturing e.g. panel saw, drill press, milling machine, hand powered tools and welding
  • Good computer skills
  • A current, valid Driving License
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS workers screening

 

The following criteria are desirable:

  • Exposure to electronics or wireless communication set up
  • A registered Trade certificate
  • Experience with CNC machining, 3D design with CAD/CAM programs such as Rhino or Solidworks
  • Relevant post-secondary or trades qualification

 

This is a permanent, full time role, based at our Cockburn office, however, there will be work-related travel within WA as required.
