We are looking for a Procurement and Contracts Manager to join our dynamic and agile team where will you lead and direct the development and implementation of Rocky Bay’s procurement and contract strategies, policies and practices.

What you need to do

Your role as a Procurement & Contracts Manager will focus on supporting procurement and contracting excellence across the organisation for both business as usual and projects. You will manage Expressions of Interest, Requests for Proposal, supplier audit and performance management, supporting the purchase to pay lifecycle and stores and inventory management. 

In this role you will lead a small, procurement and contracts function and assist our clients in organising end to end procurement activities in consultation with key stakeholders to deliver sustainable value and benefits to the business.

The Procurement & Contracts Manager will act as a subject matter expert through project feasibility and development, planning, execution, and completion phases. The role will seek to deliver risk managed, value-based procurement and sourcing strategies and activities. Your involvement in risk identification and implementation of controls at all stages of project lifecycles will be necessary and you should be applying your experience to continually seek safe, efficient, and productive sourcing, logistics and contracting scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Rocky Bay Procurement department comprising sourcing and Contracts management, purchasing and contracts administration and Assets Management
  • Accountable for all aspects of compliance for Rocky Bay’s Procurement, Purchasing and Assets management and the associated supporting services.
  • Provide advice to the Corporate Leadership Team on ensuring value for money on procurement decision making and effective contract management to support the achievement of Rocky Bay’s strategic and operational goals.
  • Contribute to Rocky Bay’s strategic planning and management.
  • Represent Rocky Bay on internal and external forums as required.
  • Deliver innovation in procurement and contract management.
  • Establish systems and processes for monitoring and reporting on contract performance and provides accurate and timely information to key stakeholders including the Corporate Executive

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree/Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Procurement, Purchasing, Supply and Assets Management) and / or substantial experience in strategic procurement management
  • Significant  demonstrated years of relevant industry /domain experience
  • Significant experience in delivering effective and divisional strategies, plans and service models across a diverse and growing business model
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and strong understanding of contemporary practices, trends and opportunities
  • Outstanding communication, influencing and engagement skills
  • Able to build & sustain a diverse range of collaborative relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated integrity, self-awareness and professionalism
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • High level of personal drive & resilience
