About the Role

As an Allied Health Assistant, your new role will see you working across speech pathology, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Guided by the primary therapists, you will be responsible for implementing programs to assist our valued customers with achieving their goals. You may also be involved in producing therapy resources and assisting in organising and running groups for both children and adults. Experience working with children/teenagers will be desirable. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Build effective relationships with peers and colleagues, including relevant external agencies.
  • Assist in coordinating and booking therapy appointments
  • Ability to work with a wide range of customers with varying age groups and disabilities 
  • Capability to implement manual handling for customers as appropriate
  • Aptitude to follow instructions and implement therapy programs as directed by the designated therapist and/or team leader
  • Support health and safety initiatives and promote relevant activities that optimise the health and well-being of staff and customers
