Rocky Bay is seeking a passionate, experienced and dedicated Lead Support Worker to join our dynamic Community team in the Rockingham and Mandurah areas.
About the role:
- Permanent Part time 70 hour fortnightly roster
- Competitive Salary + Packaging ($18,550) and Leave Loading (17.5%) payable on annual leave
- Location - Rockingham & Mandurah (travel required)
This permanent part-time position offers an exceptional opportunity to make an impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities with a leading disability provider. As a Lead Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities to live their lives to the fullest.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate community access and participation by accompanying customers to appointments, social events and recreational activities
- Foster independence by encouraging and supporting customers in developing life skills, decision-making abilities and achieving personal goals
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, ensuring open communication with families and other team members
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes dignity, respect, and choice
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless service delivery
- Demonstrating strong leadership skills and mentoring to staff to maintain the highest standards of care
Rocky Bay is looking for individuals who have:
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for making a positive impact to our customers
- A minimum of two years experience in the disability industry
- Certificate III in Disability (preferred but not essential)
- Effective mentoring/coaching skills
- Effective problem solving skills and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a team and autonomously
- Effective time management skills and the ability to use initiative
