We’re now seeking an experienced Brand & Engagement Manager to lead our marketing, communications, fundraising and community engagement portfolio—and to help tell the Rocky Bay story in a way that is authentic, inclusive and impactful.
This is a senior leadership role reporting to the Executive, with the opportunity to influence organisational strategy, build deep community connections and drive sustainable growth in awareness, engagement and philanthropic support.
About the role
As Brand & Engagement Manager, you will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across:
- Brand, marketing and communications
- Digital engagement and storytelling
- Fundraising, partnerships and philanthropy
- Community engagement and stakeholder relations
- Events and external relations
You will lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with the Executive and operational leaders to ensure Rocky Bay’s impact, services and values are clearly understood by customers, partners, funders and the broader community.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable setting direction and rolling up their sleeves to deliver.
Key responsibilities
Strategic leadership
- Develop and deliver Rocky Bay’s integrated Brand & Engagement Strategy aligned to the Strategic Plan
- Provide trusted advice to the Executive and senior leaders on brand positioning, reputation, risks and opportunities
- Lead portfolio planning, budgets and performance reporting
- Use insights, data and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement
Brand, marketing and communications
- Protect, strengthen and evolve the Rocky Bay brand across all touchpoints
- Lead marketing campaigns, digital content, advertising and storytelling that showcase our people, services and impact
- Oversee media relations, proactive storytelling and issues or crisis communication
- Ensure communications are accessible, inclusive and customer-focused
Fundraising, partnerships and philanthropy
- Lead fundraising activities including appeals, bequests, grants, major donors, corporate partnerships and community initiatives
- Build strong relationships with donors, partners and philanthropic organisations
- Identify new sustainable revenue opportunities to support innovation and service growth
- Ensure ethical fundraising practices and compliance with legislation and standards
Community engagement and events
- Strengthen relationships with customers, families, community partners and networks
- Ensure consumer voices inform planning, service design and evaluation
- Oversee delivery of key events, launches and community campaigns
- Represent Rocky Bay at forums, networks and community events
Leadership and governance
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive and values-aligned culture
- Manage budgets, resources and reporting to optimise impact and accountability
About you
You are a confident, purpose-driven leader who brings together strategic insight, creativity and strong relationship building skills. You understand how brand, engagement and fundraising work together to create trust, impact and growth.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in senior roles across marketing, communications, brand or community engagement
- A strong track record delivering organisation wide strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including media and stakeholder engagement
- Experience in fundraising, partnerships or revenue-generating initiatives
- Proven leadership experience, including coaching and developing teams
- Strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Highly regarded:
- Experience in disability services, health, community services or the not-for-profit sector
- Experience in philanthropy, donor stewardship or grants
- Familiarity with social impact measurement or customer experience frameworks

Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business or a related field
- National Police Clearance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current WA Driver’s Licence
