Support Worker
- Permanent Part Time
We are seeking compassionate, highly energetic, and reliable Support Workers to support a young man who lives independently in the Mosman Park area.
We have multiple shifts available across a range of time periods:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Overnight sleep shifts
About you:
- Passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives
- Reliable, patient and person-centred
- Available for a variety of shifts and times
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and confident supporting complex needs and behaviours
- Experience or knowledge of Active Support
- Previous experience in disability support is desirable
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is desirable
- Valid Driver’s Licence essential
About the role:
- Provide person-centered support to help maintain independence, wellbeing, and community participation.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with customers
- Support customers to develop skills and independence
- Support customers with mobility, transfers, hoisting and other physical assistance as required.
- Follow person-centred support plans and respond to individual needs
- Maintain accurate case notes, timesheets and incident reports
