Drive Growth. Build Momentum. Create Real Impact.

Rocky Bay is entering an exciting new phase - moving from stabilisation into growth, stronger market positioning and greater impact for the people and communities we support.

We’re looking for a bold, commercially minded leader to take ownership of one of the organisation’s most influential portfolios and help shape what comes next.

This is more than a marketing role.

It’s an opportunity to drive visibility, revenue, partnerships, innovation, and organisational growth.

  • Marketing & Communications
  • Philanthropy & Fundraising
  • Growth & Business Development

If you thrive on turning ideas into action, building momentum, and delivering measurable outcomes — this role is for you.

About the Role

This Head of Department role reports to the Executive Office, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary portfolio focused on growth, engagement, brand strength, and strategic opportunity across the organisation.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading marketing and communications strategies that elevate brand awareness and engagement
  • Driving fundraising and philanthropy initiatives that diversify and grow revenue
  • Identifying and delivering new business and growth opportunities
  • Building strategic partnerships and expanding organisational reach
  • Using market insights and data to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Leading and inspiring a high-performing team focused on delivery and results

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can think strategically while confidently rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll know you’re succeeding when:

  • The Rocky Bay brand is stronger, more visible, and more influential
  • Fundraising revenue and strategic partnerships are growing
  • New initiatives and opportunities are progressing from concept to delivery
  • A strong pipeline of growth opportunities is actively being converted into action
  • Your team is recognised for momentum, accountability, and outcomes
  • A team known for delivery and results

What You Bring

We’re looking for a driven and adaptable leader who combines commercial thinking with purpose and impact.

You will bring:

  • Proven leadership experience across growth, marketing, fundraising, business development, or related fields
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic capability
  • A track record of turning strategy into execution and results
  • Experience building partnerships, revenue streams, and organisational growth
  • A collaborative leadership style that inspires accountability and performance
  • A practical, solutions-focused and hands-on approach

Experience within disability, health, community services, or the NFP sector is highly regarded — though not essential.

Why Join Rocky Bay?

This is a rare opportunity to influence the future direction of a respected WA organisation making a genuine difference in people’s lives.

  • Opportunity to shape the reputation and future of a respected WA organisation
  • A key leadership role with direct access to the CEO and Executive Team
  • A values-led culture built on inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Meaningful work that supports people with disability and their communities
  • The chance to lead with influence, autonomy, and purpose

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business or a related field
  • National Police Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence
