Rocky Bay is a leading provider of disability services, supporting thousands of children and adults across Western Australia to live with choice, independence and dignity. We are now seeking a System Implementation Accountant (Finance Project) to join our Project Team to lead the finance workstream for the end to end implementation and optimisation of our new finance system. The role partners closely with Finance, Business Transformations, operations and our implementation partner to deliver a modern, cloud‑based platform with multi‑dimensional reporting, consistent with our approved finance system strategy.

About the role

You will act as the finance system authority within the project, leading end to end finance design and readiness, configuration, implementation, data migration, testing, go-live and transition into BAU.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the Finance lead for the finance technology solution
  • Facilitating discovery and design workshops
  • Data migration planning
  • Control frameworks and integration scopes
  • The Implementation phase (Build, Test and Deploy)
  • System configuration in collaboration with our implementation partner
  • Develop Board, Executive and Departmental reporting and dashboards
  • Lead data migration and UAT
  • Drive system optimisation to reduce manual work, improve data quality, and strengthen controls
  • Develop training references and deliver role based training
  • Go Live readiness

 About you

You are an experienced professional in finance transformations with strong experience with ERP and finance system implementations. You will have a strong accounting background with a deep understanding of financial and management reporting and controls. You will be a commercially minded, solutions focused individual with excellent leadership, communications and stakeholder management skills.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in large scale finance system implementations and system design
  • Degree qualified Accountant with CPA/CA professional certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative, approachable and solutions-focused mindset
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Understanding of NFP funding streams and stakeholder reporting requirements, particularly NDIS (Desirable)
