At Rocky Bay, our purpose is simple and powerful: to create choice, independence and opportunity for people living with disability across Western Australia. To do that well, now and into the future, we are intentionally redesigning how we support, grow and partner with our people.

This role sits at the heart of that evolution.  We are seeking a People and Culture Advisor to join a progressive, values led P&C team that is moving beyond traditional, transactional HR. This is an opportunity to help shape a modern people function, one that builds leadership capability, strengthens culture and creates clear, human-centred experiences for our workforce.

You’ll work closely with an P&C Business Partner and leaders across the business contributing to meaningful change while building deep, practical P & C capability of your own.

Why this role matters

This is not a ‘behind the scenes’ role.  You will be part of a team:

  • Reimagining how P&C shows up as a trusted advisor
  • Designing better ways to support leaders and employees through the full employee lifecycle
  • Embedding consistency, care and clarity during a period of organisational growth and change
  • Building foundations for future capability, not just solving today’s problems

If you’re an P & C professional who wants to influence, contribute and grow, this role offers real scope.

What you’ll bring to the table

You’ll combine strong P&C fundamentals with curiosity, confidence and care. In this role, you will:

  • Support leaders to provide clear, practical advice across performance, employee relations and workforce matters
  • Guide leaders through complex and sometimes challenging people conversations
  • Translate legislation, awards and policy into advice that makes sense and enables good decisions
  • Deliver a high-quality people experience across contracts, variations and employee lifecycle events
  • Use workforce data and insights to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to projects that strengthen capability, systems and ways of working
  • Build trusted relationships by being present, approachable and solutions-focused

About you

You are thoughtful, resilient and people centred, with a genuine interest in how great organisations support their people. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in a generalist HR role, with exposure to employee relations and advisory work
  • A qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline (or working towards)
  • Confidence interpreting awards and employment legislation
  • Comfort working in complexity and navigating ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
  • A proactive mindset, attention to detail and pride in doing things well

Most importantly, you care about the impact P&C can have on leaders, teams and organisational culture.

What we offer

  • Competitive Salary (depending on experience), plus salary packaging up to $18,500
  • Flexible working arrangements on successful completion of probationary period
  • Purchased Annual Leave Program (up to 2 weeks)
  • Competitive employee benefits including discounts with HBF Health, Ultra Tune servicing, and Commonwealth Bank product
  • Quarterly recognition and loyalty awards
  • $2,000 employee referral program
  • Health and wellness initiatives including an Employee Assistance Program and discounted Fitstop gym membership
  • A collaborative, inclusive and genuinely supportive workplace
