We are seeking a Lead Support Worker to support individuals with complex needs, including sensory, physical and intellectual disabilities and often challenging behaviours, living in shared accommodation.

• Support our customers in all aspects of daily life including; maintaining their home, facilitating and attending outings and medical appointments, personal hygiene and support with daily activities whilst always demonstrating dignity and respect for our customers.
• Communicate and engage with the customer in a relevant and meaningful way.
• Transport participants travelling to and from activities and outings using Rocky Bay vehicles.
• Ensure all supports and services provided are accurately documented and accounted for through time-sheets, case notes, incident reporting, etc.

Lead Support Worker Roster = 72 hours per fortnight

Week 1 = Mon/Thu 0700-1500, Fri/Sat/Sun 1600-0000

Week 2 = Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri 0700-1500

What we require:

• Available to work rosters between Monday-Sunday
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the disability industry
• Support the Team Leader in the daily operation of the house and mentor new staff
• Encourage, support and organise daily activities dance classes, swimming lessons & other social events
• Drive modified vehicles to accompany clients to appointments and social occasions
• Meet the unique needs of each individual by following their person centred plans and working towards their bigger life goals
• Cert III in Disability/Individual Support (Disability) is highly desirable
