About the Role
As a Respite Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disability and their families by delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same—ranging from supporting daily routines to creating meaningful and enjoyable experiences during respite stays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication assistance, and household tasks—always maintaining dignity and respect
• Build meaningful, positive relationships with customers, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs
• Encourage and participate in a variety of activities such as swimming, dance, and community outings
• Safely transport customers to appointments and activities using modified vehicles
• Follow person-centred plans and support individuals to achieve their personal goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including case notes, timesheets, and incident reports

About You

• Passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach
• Flexible, resilient, and confident working with individuals with complex needs and behaviours
• Knowledge of Active Support (or willingness to learn)
• Current Driver’s Licence (essential)
• Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (desirable, not essential)
