As a Respite Support Worker at Rocky Bay, you’ll help create positive, meaningful experiences for people living with disability while providing families with valuable respite and peace of mind.
From supporting daily routines and personal care to preparing meals, heading out into the community or simply enjoying time together, you’ll help customers make the most of their respite. Every customer is different, and no two days are exactly alike in our fast paced respite service.
You’ll build genuine relationships, support individual goals and create an environment where people feel safe, included and able to enjoy themselves.

What you’ll need
- Checks & requirements: NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Orientation Module, National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check (where required), full Australian working rights and current First Aid Certificate
- Other requirements: Full WA Driver’s Licence, and current year influenza vaccination
- Previous high care need support work experience or lived experience is essential
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is desirable

- Support customers with daily living, personal care and medication
- Create engaging and meaningful respite experiences
- Support community outings, activities and appointments
- Build positive relationships based on trust and respect
- Follow individual support plans and respond to changing needs
- Complete required documentation and case notes
- Support customers with complex needs and behaviours
