Salary: $84,347.21 – $90,888.82 per annum + generous not-for-profit salary packaging
Employment: Permanent Full-Time (76 hours a fortnight Occasional Weekends) 

 

Lead a brand-new Youth Respite Service

Rocky Bay's new Youth Respite Service in Cottesloe is now open, and we're looking for an experienced Team Leader to lead our team and help shape the future of this exciting new service.

This is an opportunity to take a key leadership role in a purpose-built youth respite environment, supporting children and young people with disability while building a strong, capable and child-safe team.

You'll work closely with children, young people, families and key stakeholders to ensure customers receive high-quality, person-centred support that helps them achieve their goals and outcomes.

 

About the Role

As the Youth Respite Team Leader, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the service, ensuring a high-quality experience for customers and their families.

You'll lead and support Support Workers, providing coaching, guidance and development while ensuring the team has the skills, training and support needed to meet individual customer needs.

 

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing the Youth Respite team through coaching, mentoring and regular feedback
  • Overseeing master and fortnightly rosters to ensure they meet customer needs and operate within budget
  • Building strong relationships with customers, families, Support Coordinators, Therapists and other key stakeholders
  • Developing and reviewing customer plans and coordinating supports to meet individual goals
  • Supporting the intake of new customers and coordinating their transition into the service
  • Following up incidents and complaints and contributing to investigations and service improvements
  • Ensuring the service meets NDIS quality standards, legislation and Rocky Bay policies and procedures
  • Embedding and modelling Child Safe Organisation principles across the service

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with your team and the people we support while providing the oversight and direction needed to deliver an exceptional service.

 

About You

We're looking for an experienced youth leader who can bring strong people skills, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with disability.

 

You'll have:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role and managing diverse teams
  • Strong understanding of NDIS regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Promote the business and its services to increase brand awareness, attract new clients, and support business growth
  • Solid understanding of Child Safe Principles and their implementation
  • Relevant Certificate III/IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or similar.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and relevant mandatory training.
  • Working with Children Check 
  • Current Australian driver's licence.
